Paratroopers ride

I spied this at a French D-day museum.
British paratroopers are dropped from the sky with a motorbike in a tube.
Adjust the seat post and bars and your good to go!
They were the coolest thing on the Normandy roads in 1944.

Harrowing Holiday

I just got back from France. I've seen some of the gnarliest things there.

Paris Catacombs.
Old Gypsum mines where Parisians buried their dead after a plague.
An estimated 6 million bodies are down there.

Next trip was to the D-day landing beaches at Normandy with a visit to the cemetery of US Soldiers graves.
A very humbling experience.
